Project Description

Diaz•Yourman & Associates (DYA) provided a geotechnical investigation and construction support for the restoration of damaged storm facilities at two locations. Record storms in January 2005 caused significant damage to many of the City’s existing facilities including slope failure of various roadways, including Inverness Drive, and the partial collapse of a retaining crib (“Keystone”) wall on Foothill Boulevard.  DYA's scope of services included providing geotechnical input and support services throughout the restoration projects, from initial studies through forensic investigation, environmental documents, reconstruction recommendations, and construction.  DYA engineers provided project oversight, quick response, and recommendations in the written report.
