Project Description

Diaz•Yourman & Associates (DYA) provided geotechnical services for a proposed flyaway terminal.  The proposed project included a one-story terminal building, a five- to seven-story parking structure, access roads for buses and automobiles, and on-site and remote surface parking areas.  The access road design considered both automobile and heavy bus traffic.  DYA provided recommendations for shallow and deep foundations for the terminal building, deep foundations for the parking structure, asphalt and concrete pavements for the access roads with heavy bus traffic, and asphalt concrete (AC) pavement for the surface parking area.
